Olivia does her best impression of her funny face pancake.

Lady and the Trampoline

Aiden and Olivia jumped for joy during parent-tot open gym time at a local gymnastics center.

Two-Potty System

Olivia alternates pretending to go potty between her plastic portable version and the more permanent ceramic one upstairs. She’s not yet potty trained, just partly trained. She often goes through all the stages of potty time less the grand finale.

Screenplay

We attended a preschool open house this afternoon. Olivia was very reserved at first, but by the end, was unable to resist all the toys and activities at her fingertips. In this picture, Olivia insisted that she was accessing her EEE-mail (heavy emphasis on the first syllable) to look at pictures of baby Lily.

Picnic Tableaux

I was literally, but not figuratively, floored by Beni’s suggestion that we have our Valentine’s Day dinner in the living room. We moved our Thai takeout floorside to eat by the glow of our flickering TV. At the end of the meal, Olivia celebrated the day by contorting her body into the shape of a heart.

No Longer Bored and Listless…

Cereal Killer

Olivia attacks her bowls of cereal with the friendly ferocity of Tony the Tiger. She devours the opening bowl and then politely inquires about a return engorgement. She’s gotten up to a fifth bowl on her own, and on occasion, she’ll pirate another person’s bowl.

This picture was taken after she’d gone to the kitchen to retrieve her stool and spoon in an attempt to get at my bowl of honey nut o’s.

Sweet Cheeks

I’m thankful that Olivia got such beautiful and kissable cheeks – among other traits – from her beautiful and kissable mother.

Juicy Story

Olivia insists that her orange juice be of the “no polk” variety. I wonder if she’ll make an exception on Presidents’ Day.
