Bye Bye Birdie

Olivia packed her cheepy-cheepy backpack for her first overnight stay away from her parents. Beni and I tried our best to downplay the milestone because we were worried our chickadee would fly the coop if we made the whole event into too big a production. As it turned out, we didn’t need to allay any sort of separation anxiety. We knew she’d be okay when she sent us off with an emphatic “Good night!” on our way out to the car.
