Late March means spring break for my mom, a schoolteacher, and so she blessed us with her presence and presents. Olivia absolutely loved her new wooden sushi set, but the moms in the audience rolled their eyes when I unrolled the inspired boast of “call me wasabi ‘cause I’m on a sushi roll.”
